More Than Telling A Story - Digital Storytelling!

Hi everyone!

Have you ever seen a digital story? If your answer is ‘’no’’ now you’ll see one. Because I and my friends created a digital story! There were 3 options for our homework and we selected this one. Others were Creating a Public Service Announcement and Creating a How-to Story.

A digital story is a story with visual. While you’re listening the story you can watch what’s happening at the same time. I think it’s like a cartoon with a narrator.

Here is our digital story.

Creating a digital story was really hard because you need to use some tools on computer. We used Windows Movie Maker. I know there are more detailed and easier ones but we chose that one because it is free to use and I used it before. We edited our voice records then added some pictures using Pixton.

 It’s a website that you can create comics, stories and cartoons. There is one disadvantage of this website. You can’t download or print your stories before paying money to website. However you can take screenshots. After that we added some sound effects such as animal and spaceship sounds. Finally we added background music to our story. When we watched our story, after all that struggle it was worth it.

Experiencing Podcasting As A Learner

Hi my dear readers, Today's post is about podcasting! Podcasts are records that you can listen anywhere you want. Everyone can publish a podcast because podcasts can be about any topic. I and my partner Dilara Katmer created a podcast for you. It's main idea is to ask one question to different people and record their opinions. It's called Vox Pop. With Vox Pops we can hear distinct voices and their perspectives. Here is our podcast. Podcasting was entertaining and difficult at the same time. We had a lot of fun but finding people to answer your questions and editing the podcast on computer was hard for us. Creating a Wall About Anything You Want

Hi dear readers, Have you ever wanted to find a wall and customize it personally? This week I learned how to do it on the internet. Our teacher showed us a website which is called padlet . She gave us some topics and we created a wall about the topic we chose among them. padlet Using Padlet is very easy. If you can follow the instructions of the website you won't have any problem. There are a lot of options that you can use. Here they are. padlet Our topic was bullying. Dilara, Zeynep and I created a KWL chart on padlet. KWL chart is a way to make learners search something.
