Goodbye Everyone! For Now...

Hi my dear readers!

It is the end of the semester and you are reading my farewell post. But I hope this won’t be the last post of my blog. I want to use all techniques I learned. I am planning to post my works with my brother in summer. However, I have to write this post because my teacher wanted us to do.

I want to talk about my experiences and observations about my Educational Technologies lesson. First week I was scared because there were lots of works to do. We did various types of homeworks including individual, pair and group work. Yet, when I started to create my blog and see something belongs to me, my feelings changed. I was eager to create my posts and publish them. Moreover, homeworks were not that hard. Our teacher sent us the instructions and we followed them. Now, when I look at my blog I can see that I have done a great job.

The best part of the lesson was creating something special. I realised that students can learn better when they create the material themselves instead of consuming the prepared materials. Now, I am aware of the importance of the technology in language classes. In future I won’t use only the coursebook to teach English, I will also use technology and make my students use it effectively. Because, I will be a teacher in 21st century.

Everything about the lesson was perfect and I wouldn’t change anything about it. I enjoyed every week and learned something new every lesson.

My favourite works in this semester were the podcast and the storytelling. They were the most tiring and the entertaining ones at the same time.

You can take a look every one of them again, because they will be here forever. I want to thank to my friends and my partners in this lesson, Dilara and Zeynep. Thank you so much!
And thank you teacher. Your students won't forget you!

Experiencing Podcasting As A Learner

Hi my dear readers, Today's post is about podcasting! Podcasts are records that you can listen anywhere you want. Everyone can publish a podcast because podcasts can be about any topic. I and my partner Dilara Katmer created a podcast for you. It's main idea is to ask one question to different people and record their opinions. It's called Vox Pop. With Vox Pops we can hear distinct voices and their perspectives. Here is our podcast. Podcasting was entertaining and difficult at the same time. We had a lot of fun but finding people to answer your questions and editing the podcast on computer was hard for us. Creating a Wall About Anything You Want

Hi dear readers, Have you ever wanted to find a wall and customize it personally? This week I learned how to do it on the internet. Our teacher showed us a website which is called padlet . She gave us some topics and we created a wall about the topic we chose among them. padlet Using Padlet is very easy. If you can follow the instructions of the website you won't have any problem. There are a lot of options that you can use. Here they are. padlet Our topic was bullying. Dilara, Zeynep and I created a KWL chart on padlet. KWL chart is a way to make learners search something.
