Make Traditional Projects More Interesting by Using Technology!

    Hello, my dear readers!

Today, I will tell you about how I and my Bengisu converted a classic presentation project to a technology-enhanced project. We used an English preparatory class students' book. I will give you the basic information here. You can read our WebQuest for more information because there, we wrote everything in detail. We used Zunal for creating the WebQuest.

First of all, the project on the book wants students to make a presentation on a historical place in their cities. That was an individual project but we changed it to a group project. Our students are going to work as a group of 3. They will go to 3 historical places in their cities and shoot a documentary about them!  After that, they will record a podcast with the people around the historical place and ask some questions to them. They will upload their videos and podcast to YouTube (or any other platform).

When they are done with them, they will create a poster for their documentaries on Canva (or any other platform). They will use the technology which is called Augmented Reality. You can read my last post for more information about AR. They will also add a QR code to their posters.

We assume that our school has a twin school in a different country. Our students will send their projects to their foreign friends so that they can visit Turkey online.

Finally, our students will present their work in their class and talk about their experiences.

Creating a WebQuest was a great experience! I and Bengisu had so much fun! We had some problems with uploading photos to Zunal but we managed to do it. I can recommend this website but sometimes it works slowly. You can try to find alternatives.

You can visit my partner Bengisu's post and see the procedure from her perspective.

See you in my next post!
